Dihydromyricetin (DHM) is a plant-based flavonoid found in the highest concentrations in the Japanese raisin tree (Hovenia dulcis), a plant with a documented history in Chinese medicine going back over a thousand years. It has gained significant modern attention as a natural compound that appears to speed up alcohol metabolism, reduce intoxication, and protect the liver from alcohol-related damage. Unlike synthetic hangover remedies, DHM works with the body's own detox pathways rather than masking symptoms.
