This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

A neti pot is a simple device used to perform nasal irrigation — pouring a warm saline solution into one nostril so it flows through the nasal cavity and out the other. It is one of the oldest hygiene practices in the world, rooted in Ayurvedic medicine as a purification technique called Jala Neti. Today it is widely recommended by ENT specialists and allergists as a drug-free first-line tool for managing nasal and sinus symptoms.
Saline irrigation physically washes away mucus, dust, pollen, bacteria, and other irritants that accumulate in the nasal passages. It also helps thin and loosen thick mucus, making it easier to clear, and restores moisture to irritated nasal tissues. Regular use supports the cilia — tiny hair-like structures in the nose — which are responsible for moving debris and pathogens out of the airways.
Traditional ceramic neti pots are durable and easy to clean. Plastic versions are lighter and travel-friendly. Squeeze bottles allow more controlled pressure and are often preferred by beginners. Electric pulsating irrigators (like the NeilMed Sinugator) mimic the action of a water flosser for the nose, delivering a higher-volume rinse. Pre-mixed saline packets take the guesswork out of salt concentration.
Jala Neti (water nasal cleansing) is one of the six classical purification practices (Shatkarmas) described in ancient Ayurvedic and Hatha Yoga texts going back over 2,000 years. It was traditionally practiced daily as part of morning hygiene to maintain respiratory health and clear the mind before meditation. Western medicine began formally studying nasal irrigation in the 1990s and has since validated its use for sinusitis, allergies, and rhinitis in multiple clinical trials.
What it is typically used for, usual dose, cautions, and the study behind it where real trial data exists.
