This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

The Mitochondrial Support Stack is a clinically informed combination of nutrients designed to feed, protect, and multiply the mitochondria — the tiny powerhouses inside nearly every cell that convert food into usable energy (ATP). Rather than providing a temporary stimulant effect, this stack works at the cellular level to improve how efficiently your body actually makes and uses energy. Each ingredient targets a different step in the energy-production process, so they genuinely amplify each other's effects when taken together.
CoQ10 and B vitamins act as essential co-factors in the electron transport chain — the final stage of ATP production — while L-Carnitine shuttles fatty acids into mitochondria to be burned as fuel. Alpha-Lipoic Acid and PQQ serve double duty as both antioxidants (protecting mitochondria from the oxidative stress they naturally generate) and signaling molecules that encourage cells to build new mitochondria. NAD+ precursors like NMN or NR replenish a critical cellular fuel that naturally declines with age, reactivating repair proteins called sirtuins. Magnesium is the quiet backbone — over 300 enzymes involved in energy metabolism depend on it, and most people are running low.
Liposomal or ubiquinol forms of CoQ10 offer significantly better absorption than standard ubiquinone. NMN is often taken sublingually for faster uptake. Magnesium malate is preferred for energy support; magnesium glycinate for sleep and nervous system calm. Many commercial stacks combine several of these into one capsule, though quality and dosing vary significantly between brands.
Mitochondrial medicine emerged as a clinical field in the 1960s–70s when researchers identified that defects in mitochondrial function underpinned a range of serious diseases. Over the following decades, individual nutrients like CoQ10 (discovered by Peter Mitchell, who won the 1978 Nobel Prize for his work on energy coupling) and carnitine were validated as therapeutic targets. The concept of a combined mitochondrial 'stack' grew from longevity research, sports medicine, and aging science in the 1990s–2000s, gaining significant mainstream traction with the discovery of NAD+ precursors and their role in sirtuin activation.
What it is typically used for, usual dose, cautions, and the study behind it where real trial data exists.
