Constant snack cravings
You finish a meal, and an hour later you want chips or sweets again. It does not feel like real hunger. It feels more like an itch you keep wanting to scratch.
Lots of things can set this off. Meals that are low in protein or fat may leave you full for only a short while. Short sleep, stress, boredom, and skipped meals can all push the urge up.
Habit plays a part too. If you always snack at your desk or on the couch, the spot itself can start the craving. Blood sugar swings and some medicines can also be behind it.
When to see someone
See a doctor if you are very thirsty, peeing a lot, or losing weight without trying. Get help if you often eat a lot fast and feel out of control, or feel shame after. Also check in if the cravings began with a new medicine, or come with shaking, sweating, and a foggy head.
Below is a list of folk and traditional remedies people use for weight goals. Each one has a grade that shows how much research stands behind it. A low grade means there is little proof, not proof that it fails.
