This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Sepia is one of the most widely used classical homeopathic remedies, prepared through a process of serial dilution and succussion (vigorous shaking) from the ink of the Mediterranean cuttlefish. In homeopathy, the remedy is matched to a 'picture' — a pattern of physical and emotional symptoms — rather than a single diagnosis. The classic Sepia picture includes hormonal imbalance, emotional withdrawal, feeling worn out and indifferent, and a range of gynecological complaints.
Homeopathy operates on the principle that 'like cures like' — a substance that causes certain symptoms in a healthy person can stimulate healing of similar symptoms in a sick person when given in extreme dilution. At the common 30C potency, no molecules of the original cuttlefish ink remain, and the proposed mechanism is energetic or informational rather than biochemical. While this mechanism is not accepted by conventional pharmacology, clinical homeopaths report consistent patterns of response, and some placebo-controlled trials have explored outcomes in specific conditions like PMS and menopausal symptoms.
Sepia is available as small lactose pellets for sublingual use (most common), liquid dilutions in water-alcohol base, and occasionally as tablets or powders. Common potencies include 6C, 30C, and 200C — the higher the number, the more diluted and, in homeopathic theory, the more potent. Acute conditions typically use 30C; deeper constitutional use may involve 200C under practitioner guidance.
Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy, introduced Sepia in the early 1800s after observing that artists who habitually wet their brushes in cuttlefish ink developed characteristic symptoms of fatigue and low mood. He developed the remedy through systematic 'proving' — giving the substance to healthy volunteers and recording every symptom they developed. Sepia has since become one of the most prescribed homeopathic remedies in Europe, particularly in Germany, France, India, and the UK.
What it is typically used for, usual dose, cautions, and the study behind it where real trial data exists.
