This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Korean Ginseng Berry Extract comes from the fruit of the Panax ginseng plant — the same prized root herb used in Korean and Chinese medicine for thousands of years, but the berries are a distinct, potent part of the plant that have only recently caught researchers' attention. Unlike the root, the berries are uniquely concentrated in ginsenoside Re, one of the most studied active compounds in the entire ginseng family. The berries are harvested once a year when they turn bright red, making the extract both rare and highly valued.
The active compounds in ginseng berries — especially ginsenoside Re — help the body regulate blood sugar by improving how cells respond to insulin, essentially making your body better at using the sugar in your bloodstream. These same compounds also support the brain and adrenal system, helping you feel more alert and less worn down by daily stress. The extract also has gentle anti-inflammatory effects that may underpin many of its broader health benefits.
Standardized berry extracts in capsule form are the most researched and easiest way to ensure you're getting a consistent dose of ginsenoside Re. Liquid extracts offer fast absorption and allow flexible dosing, while powders can be blended into drinks. Look for products that specify ginsenoside Re content on the label — standardization matters here more than with many other herbs.
While Panax ginseng root has been a cornerstone of Korean and Chinese herbal medicine for over 2,000 years — prized as a longevity tonic, energy enhancer, and adaptogen — the berry was historically overlooked compared to the root. Scientific interest in the fruit emerged seriously in the early 2000s when researchers discovered its unusually high ginsenoside Re content. Studies from institutions including the University of Chicago helped propel the berry into mainstream natural health, positioning it as a distinct and complementary extract alongside the well-established root.
What it is typically used for, usual dose, cautions, and the study behind it where real trial data exists.
