This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Korean Red Ginseng Tea is made from Panax ginseng roots that have been steamed and dried, a process that transforms the root from white to red and deepens its active compound profile. Unlike raw or white ginseng, the heat-processing creates unique ginsenosides like Rg3 and Compound K that are associated with stronger adaptogenic and immune effects. It has been a cornerstone of Korean traditional medicine for over two thousand years and remains one of the most studied herbal remedies in the world.
The key active compounds — ginsenosides — interact with multiple systems in the body simultaneously, which is what makes ginseng an adaptogen. They help regulate the body's stress response, support healthy immune cell activity, promote nitric oxide production for better circulation, and help cells use glucose more efficiently. The tea form delivers these compounds in a bioavailable liquid matrix, and the warmth of the beverage may further support circulation and absorption.
The tea form is traditionally prepared by simmering root slices in water for 20–30 minutes, producing a warm amber brew with a slightly bitter, earthy, and sweet flavor. Commercial options include pre-made tea bags, instant sachets, and liquid concentrate added to hot water. The tea form is considered gentle and accessible compared to concentrated capsules, making it a good entry point for new users. Bioavailability may vary by preparation method, with longer simmering times generally extracting more ginsenosides.
Ginseng has been used in Korean and Chinese medicine for over 2,000 years, with early records appearing in Chinese pharmacopeias such as the Shennong Bencao Jing. Korean ginseng cultivation became formalized during the Goryeo Dynasty (918–1392 CE), and the red processing technique was developed to extend shelf life and deepen medicinal potency. Korea remains the world's leading producer of high-quality red ginseng, and it is deeply embedded in Korean cultural identity as a symbol of vitality and longevity.
