This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

A Digestive Blend is a multi-herb formula combining time-tested botanicals from Ayurvedic, Traditional Chinese, and European herbal traditions — all chosen for their ability to calm, stimulate, or protect different parts of the digestive system. Core herbs like ginger and peppermint are among the most researched natural remedies in the world, while supporting herbs like fennel, chamomile, and artichoke leaf round out the formula for broader gut coverage. These blends are designed to work synergistically, meaning the combination often performs better than any single herb alone.
Each herb in a Digestive Blend works through a slightly different pathway: ginger speeds up stomach emptying and curbs nausea, peppermint relaxes the smooth muscle of the gut to ease cramping and gas, fennel reduces intestinal spasms and bloating, chamomile soothes gut inflammation and nervous tension, and artichoke leaf stimulates bile production to help break down fats. Together, they cover the main causes of everyday digestive discomfort — slow motility, muscle spasms, gas buildup, and inadequate bile flow. Many of these herbs also have mild antimicrobial properties that help maintain a healthy balance of gut bacteria.
Capsules and softgels offer precise, convenient dosing and are the most common supplement format. Liquid tinctures and extracts are absorbed faster and allow flexible dosing. Herbal teas provide a gentler, more traditional delivery and can be especially soothing for acute discomfort. Powders can be blended into warm water or smoothies. Look for blends that specify standardized extracts to ensure consistent potency of the key active compounds.
Virtually every healing tradition in human history developed its own version of a digestive blend. Ayurveda built Trikatu (ginger, black pepper, long pepper) for digestive fire. Traditional Chinese Medicine used formulas like Bao He Wan for food stagnation. European herbalists crafted bitters with artichoke, dandelion, and gentian to stimulate digestion before meals. Peppermint tea and fennel water have been used as household remedies across the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Asia for millennia. Modern formulas simply bring these traditions together in a single, standardized product.
