This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Combination tissue salt formulas are multi-mineral remedies built on the 12 biochemic salts first described by Dr. Wilhelm Schuessler in 1873. Each combination targets a recognizable symptom pattern — for example, a cold and flu blend might pair Ferr phos (early inflammation), Kali mur (mucus congestion), and Nat mur (watery discharge). The theory holds that when specific mineral salts fall out of balance in the body's cells, characteristic symptoms arise, and restoring those minerals in a highly diluted, readily absorbed form corrects the imbalance.
Schuessler proposed that his salts work not through pharmacological mass-dose action but through providing mineral information at the cellular level — helping cells regulate fluid balance, nerve signaling, energy metabolism, and structural integrity. At 6X potency, trace amounts of the mineral are still present in measurable form; at 12X, the remedy sits at the boundary of homeopathic dilution. Modern naturopathic practitioners often view the benefit as coming from both the micro-mineral content and the holistic symptom-matching process that guides formula selection.
Tablets are the most widely available form and are traditionally dissolved under the tongue for rapid mucosal absorption. Liquid drops and sprays suit children or those avoiding lactose. Topical creams combine salts like Calc fluor, Silica, and Nat mur for skin elasticity and minor wound support.
Dr. Schuessler, a German homeopathic physician, published his biochemic system in 1873 after studying the mineral ash content of human cells. He identified 12 inorganic minerals essential to cellular function and argued that deficiency in any one caused recognizable disease patterns. The system spread rapidly through Europe and was adopted by naturopathic medicine worldwide. Combination formulas emerged as a practical evolution — making the system accessible without requiring detailed single-salt prescribing knowledge. Today, combination tissue salts remain a staple of European pharmacy shelves, sold over the counter in Germany, the UK, South Africa, and Australia.
