This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Tissue salts are a set of 12 inorganic mineral compounds, each prepared at low homeopathic potencies (typically 6X or 12X dilution), that were systematized by Dr. Wilhelm Heinrich Schuessler in Oldenburg, Germany in the 1870s. Schuessler, trained in both biochemistry and homeopathy, proposed that disease arises when cells lose their ability to absorb and use specific minerals properly — and that restoring those minerals in a highly diluted, rapidly absorbable form could correct cellular function. Today they are used worldwide as a gentle complement to conventional care and nutritional supplementation.
The theory behind tissue salts is that the 12 mineral compounds are essential constituents of all human cells and tissues, and that even minor disruptions in their balance impair cellular processes like energy production, fluid regulation, nerve signaling, and structural integrity. At 6X potency, each tablet contains a very small but measurable amount of the mineral — enough, proponents argue, to signal and correct deficiency at the tissue level without the digestive burden of standard mineral supplements. Critically, the sublingual dissolving method is thought to allow direct absorption through the oral mucosa, bypassing typical gut absorption barriers.
Standard tablets dissolve under the tongue and are taken 2–4 times daily. Combination formulas (blending several salts for a targeted purpose like sleep, immunity, or skin) are widely available and convenient. Topical creams (particularly Calc fluor and Silica blends) are used for skin elasticity and wound support. Liquid drops suit those who have difficulty with tablets.
Dr. Wilhelm Heinrich Schuessler (1821–1898) published his biochemic system in 1873, building on the cellular pathology work of Rudolf Virchow and early mineral analysis of human ash by biochemist Jacob Moleschott. He identified 12 minerals as fundamental to cellular health and spent 25 years refining their clinical applications. His system spread rapidly across Europe, Australia, and North America in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and remains popular in naturopathic, homeopathic, and integrative medicine today — particularly in Germany, the UK, Australia, and South Africa.
