This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Boswellia and turmeric are two of Ayurvedic medicine's most celebrated anti-inflammatory herbs, and together they work even better than either one alone. Boswellia comes from the resin of the Boswellia serrata tree, native to India and the Middle East, while turmeric is the bright yellow root used in South Asian cooking and healing for over 4,000 years. Their combination has become one of the most studied natural approaches to managing pain and inflammation.
Both herbs dial down the body's main inflammatory signaling systems, but they do it through different pathways — so together they provide broader coverage. Boswellia primarily blocks a class of inflammatory enzymes (5-LOX) that drive joint swelling and tissue breakdown, while curcumin in turmeric targets another key inflammatory pathway (NF-kB and COX-2). Using both together means you're addressing inflammation from multiple angles at once, which is why the combination often outperforms either herb used alone.
Capsules and tablets are the most practical form and easiest to dose consistently. Standardized extracts are preferred over raw powder because they guarantee therapeutic levels of the key compounds. Look for products that specify AKBA percentage in Boswellia and use a bioavailability-enhanced curcumin form — plain curcumin powder without an absorption enhancer delivers very little to the bloodstream.
Boswellia resin (called shallaki in Sanskrit) has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years to treat arthritis, respiratory conditions, and inflammatory bowel disease. Turmeric (haldi) is equally ancient, appearing in Ayurvedic texts as a remedy for joint pain, digestive problems, and wound healing. Both were also used in traditional Persian and Chinese medicine. The two herbs have been used together in Ayurvedic formulations for centuries, and modern research has validated and deepened our understanding of why this pairing works so well.
