This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Aromatherapy diffuser therapy disperses tiny droplets or vapor of plant-derived essential oils into the air so you breathe in their active molecules. Unlike topical or ingested aromatherapy, diffusion works entirely through your sense of smell — sending signals directly from the nose to the brain regions that handle emotion, memory, and the stress response. It is one of the oldest wellness practices on earth, yet it is also one of the most actively studied in modern clinical settings.
When you inhale diffused essential oil molecules, they bind to smell receptors in your nose that connect almost instantly to the limbic system — the brain's emotional and memory hub — as well as to areas that regulate heart rate, breathing, and the release of stress hormones. Certain compounds like linalool (found in lavender) appear to calm nervous system activity, while others like limonene (from citrus) seem to boost alertness and mood. The effect is fast because this nose-to-brain pathway bypasses the slow digestive route.
Ultrasonic diffusers (the most popular) use water and vibration to mist oils without heat, preserving their chemistry. Nebulizing diffusers emit concentrated oil directly without water — stronger but can be overpowering. Evaporative and heat diffusers work but may alter some delicate compounds. Personal inhaler sticks are great for on-the-go use and are frequently used in clinical studies. Reed diffusers provide gentle, passive scenting of a room.
Burning aromatic plants and resins for ceremony, medicine, and wellbeing dates back at least 5,000 years across Egypt, India, China, Greece, and the Americas. The term 'aromatherapy' was coined by French chemist René-Maurice Gattefossé in the 1930s after he discovered lavender oil helped heal his own burn. Modern clinical research into diffused aromatherapy gained serious momentum in the 1990s and 2000s, with nursing and integrative medicine leading the way.
