Tired all the time, no energy
You wake up tired. By the middle of the day you feel flat and heavy. A full night of sleep does not seem to shift it.
Many things can drain your energy. One of them is extra fat stored in the liver. Doctors call this fatty liver, and low energy is often the first thing people notice.
Fatty liver is tied to weight, blood sugar, and blood fats. Some people feel a dull ache under the right ribs. Many feel nothing else at all, apart from being worn out.
When to see someone
Ask your doctor for blood tests if this tiredness has lasted more than two or three weeks. Get care the same day if your skin or the whites of your eyes turn yellow, your urine goes dark, or you have bad pain in your belly. Book a visit soon if you lose weight without trying, bruise very easily, vomit blood, or your legs and belly swell.
Below is a list of remedies that people use for fatty liver. Each one carries a grade for how strong the research behind it is, not a promise of results. A higher grade means more solid studies; a low grade means the proof is thin, so talk with your doctor before you try anything new.
