Ache between my legs when sitting
You sit down, and a dull ache starts between your legs. It sits deep, near the base of the pelvis. Some men say it feels like a bruise, or like sitting on a golf ball.
Under that spot lie the prostate gland and the pelvic floor muscles. Doctors may call this kind of pain chronic pelvic pain syndrome, or prostatitis. In most men, tests find no germ at all.
Tight pelvic floor muscles and touchy nerves are common threads. Hard chairs, long drives and bike seats often bring the ache on. It may fade when you stand or walk, then come back when you sit.
When to see someone
