Helps

What does Tart Cherry Juice help with? Post-workout muscle soreness and recovery: Tart cherry is one of the best-studied natural recovery tools for athletes. Its anti-inflammatory compounds reduce the muscle damage and soreness that peaks 24–48 hours after intense exercise, helping you bounce back faster and lose less strength in the days following a hard workout. Sleep problems and insomnia: Tart cherry contains natural melatonin and compounds that may boost melatonin production in the body. Clinical trials in adults — including older adults with insomnia — show it can meaningfully increase total sleep time, reduce nighttime waking, and improve overall sleep quality. Joint pain and arthritis: The anthocyanins in tart cherry act as natural anti-inflammatories, helping to ease the joint swelling and pain associated with both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid-type inflammation. Some people notice reduced stiffness and less need for over-the-counter pain relievers with regular use. Gout flares: Gout is triggered by uric acid crystals building up in the joints. Tart cherry has been shown to lower uric acid levels in the blood and reduce the frequency of gout attacks — likely by both reducing uric acid production and increasing its excretion through the kidneys. Exercise-induced inflammation: Hard training naturally spikes inflammatory markers in the blood. Tart cherry consumed before and after exercise blunts this inflammatory response, protecting muscle tissue and supporting faster restoration of full strength — especially important for endurance athletes and those training multiple days in a row. High uric acid levels: Even outside of gout, elevated uric acid is linked to kidney issues and cardiovascular risk. Tart cherry consumption has been shown to reduce serum uric acid levels, offering a dietary strategy to keep levels in a healthier range. High blood pressure: Some clinical studies suggest tart cherry can modestly lower systolic blood pressure, likely through the vasodilating and anti-inflammatory effects of its polyphenols. It works best as part of an overall heart-healthy diet and lifestyle. Osteoarthritis pain: In people with knee osteoarthritis, tart cherry juice has been shown to reduce pain scores and inflammatory markers like CRP. It does not reverse joint damage, but it can meaningfully reduce daily pain and improve function over weeks of regular use. Oxidative stress and antioxidant support: Tart cherries rank among the highest-antioxidant fruits tested. The dense concentration of polyphenols helps neutralize free radicals that contribute to aging, chronic disease, and slow recovery — making it a solid everyday antioxidant food as well as a therapeutic tool. Cognitive decline and brain health: Early research suggests the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds in tart cherry may help protect the brain from age-related decline, with some studies showing improvements in memory and attention in older adults. This is an emerging area with promising but still-building evidence.

This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!
