Helps

What does Cherry Extract help with? Muscle soreness and post-workout recovery: Cherry extract is one of the best-studied natural supplements for exercise recovery. It reduces the muscle damage and inflammation that build up after hard training, helping you feel less sore and bounce back faster — making it popular with both elite athletes and weekend warriors. Gout and high uric acid: Cherry extract helps lower uric acid levels in the blood, which is the direct cause of gout attacks. Several clinical studies have found that regular cherry consumption is linked to fewer gout flares, and it works especially well when combined with standard gout medications. Joint pain and arthritis: The anti-inflammatory compounds in cherry extract work on the same pathways as many pain-relief drugs, helping to ease joint swelling and discomfort. It has shown particular promise for people with osteoarthritis, reducing pain scores and improving mobility. Sleep problems and insomnia: Tart cherries contain natural melatonin and other compounds that boost the body's own melatonin production, helping you fall asleep faster and get more restful, longer sleep — particularly beneficial for older adults whose melatonin naturally declines with age. Inflammation and oxidative stress: Cherry extract is rich in antioxidants that mop up the free radicals and inflammatory signals that drive chronic disease. Regular use has been shown to reduce measurable markers of inflammation in the blood, making it useful as part of an anti-inflammatory lifestyle. High blood pressure: Some clinical trials have found that tart cherry juice can meaningfully lower blood pressure, likely through its effects on blood vessel flexibility and nitric oxide availability. The results are modest but consistent across multiple studies. Endurance performance: Athletes taking cherry extract before and after endurance events like marathons and cycling races have shown better maintained strength, less muscle damage, and quicker recovery times — helping preserve performance across back-to-back training sessions. Osteoarthritis pain: In people with knee osteoarthritis, tart cherry juice has been shown to reduce pain and inflammatory markers in clinical trials. It is not a replacement for medical treatment but can meaningfully complement an overall pain management plan.

This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!
