Helps

What does Pea fiber help with? Digestive health and regularity: Pea fiber adds bulk to stools and speeds up how quickly waste moves through the intestines, helping prevent constipation. Regular intake also nourishes good gut bacteria, which supports a balanced and resilient digestive system overall. Blood sugar spikes after meals: The soluble fiber in peas forms a thick gel in your digestive tract that slows the release of sugar into the bloodstream after eating. This helps prevent sharp blood sugar spikes, which is especially useful for people with prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, or those trying to maintain steady energy throughout the day. High cholesterol: Soluble pea fiber binds to cholesterol-rich bile acids in the gut and carries them out of the body before they can be reabsorbed. Over time, this process encourages the liver to pull more cholesterol from the blood to make new bile, gradually lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol levels. Weight management and appetite control: Pea fiber expands in the stomach and slows digestion, which helps you feel full and satisfied for longer after meals. Studies show that increased dietary fiber is consistently linked to lower calorie intake and better long-term weight outcomes. Gut microbiome imbalance: Pea fiber acts as a prebiotic, selectively feeding beneficial gut bacteria like Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus. A healthier gut microbiome is linked to better immunity, mood, and metabolic health. Constipation: The insoluble fiber in pea fiber increases stool bulk and shortens the time it takes food to move through the colon, providing reliable relief from constipation without the harsh effects of stimulant laxatives. Metabolic syndrome: By improving blood sugar control, lowering LDL cholesterol, and supporting healthy weight, pea fiber targets several of the core issues that define metabolic syndrome — making it a practical dietary strategy for people managing multiple risk factors at once. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS): Pea fiber is gentler on the gut than some other high-FODMAP fiber sources and may help regulate bowel habits for people with IBS. It tends to work best for IBS-C (constipation-predominant) and should be introduced gradually to avoid triggering gas or bloating in sensitive individuals.

This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!
