This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Khamira Marwareed is a classical Unani compound formulation — a richly aromatic, honey-based electuary whose star ingredient is finely processed pearl powder, combined with precious botanicals like saffron, sandalwood, rose, amber, and gold and silver leaf. It has been a cornerstone cardiac and neurological tonic in the Unani Tibb (Greco-Islamic medicine) tradition for well over a thousand years, documented in foundational texts by Ibn Sina (Avicenna) and later standardized in the National Formulary of Unani Medicine (NFUM) in South Asia. The formulation is designed to simultaneously nourish the heart muscle, calm the nervous system, and sharpen mental clarity.
In Unani philosophy, Khamira Marwareed works by strengthening the Rooh (vital spirit) seated in the heart and by balancing the temperament (Mizaj) of the cardiac and cerebral organs. From a modern perspective, several of its ingredients have demonstrated measurable effects: pearl powder provides bioavailable calcium and trace minerals that support cardiac conduction; saffron's active compounds (crocin, safranal) have documented antidepressant and antioxidant activity; sandalwood and rose have calming, anxiolytic properties; and camphor in small amounts acts as a mild cardiac stimulant and circulatory aid. The combined synergy of these ingredients is thought to reduce oxidative stress in cardiac tissue, regulate autonomic nervous system tone, and support neurotransmitter balance.
Khamira Marwareed is traditionally dispensed as a thick, fragrant electuary paste consumed directly from a spoon or dissolved in warm water or milk. It is commercially manufactured and sold in jars by licensed Unani pharmacies, particularly in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, under government-regulated Unani formulary standards. It is not commonly available as capsules or tablets, as the electuary form is considered essential to both palatability and therapeutic delivery in the Unani tradition.
Khamira Marwareed traces its roots to classical Greco-Islamic medicine, with early references in Ibn Sina's 11th-century Canon of Medicine (Al-Qanun fi al-Tibb), where pearl-based cardiac formulations were prescribed for heart weakness, palpitations, and melancholy. The formulation was further refined by later Unani physicians like Ibn Baytar and Al-Biruni and became a standard preparation in Mughal-era royal pharmacopeias. Today it remains officially recognized in India's National Formulary of Unani Medicine and is manufactured by regulated Unani pharmaceutical companies.
