This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Itrifal Kishneezi is a time-honored compound preparation from the Unani (Greco-Arabic) healing tradition, named after its principal ingredient — kishneez, the Arabic name for coriander seed. It is classified as a mufarreh (cardiac and cerebral tonic) and has been prescribed in Unani clinical practice for centuries to traditionally support the brain, settle nerves, and improve digestion. The formula combines coriander with a synergistic blend of myrobalans, rose, fennel, and aromatics that are used together rather than as isolated compounds.
Coriander seed contains linalool and flavonoids that are thought to have calming effects on the nervous system and may offer antioxidant properties relevant to neural tissue, based on preliminary pharmacological investigations. The myrobalans (amla and haritaki) are rich in tannins, vitamin C, and polyphenols that may help reduce oxidative stress. Rose petals and cardamom contribute volatile oils traditionally associated with anxiolytic and digestive properties, making the whole formula traditionally regarded as gently calming, antioxidant-rich, and supportive of gut-brain communication.
The traditional form is a majoon — a thick, sweetened herbal paste consumed by the teaspoon, which improves palatability and allows easy absorption of fat-soluble phytochemicals. Modern Unani pharmacies produce tablets, capsules, and granule sachets for convenience. The paste form is considered the most authentic and pharmacopoeially standardized presentation in countries like India and Pakistan where Unani medicine is officially regulated.
Itrifal Kishneezi appears in classical Unani pharmacopoeia texts including the Qarabadeen Majeedi and Bayaz-e-Kabeer, and has been in continuous use across the Middle East, South Asia, and Central Asia for over 700 years. It was a go-to formulation for physicians (hakims) treating patients with poor memory, melancholy, disturbed sleep, and chronic headaches — conditions the Unani system attributed to excess yellow bile and hot/dry temperament in the brain. The Central Council of Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) in India has formally standardized this formulation in the modern era.
What it is typically used for, usual dose, cautions, and the study behind it where real trial data exists.
