What is Impatiens (Bach)? Impatiens is one of the original 38 Bach Flower Remedies created by British physician Dr. Edward Bach in the early 1930s. It is prepared by floating fresh Impatiens glandulifera blossoms on natural spring water in sunlight, then preserving the infused water with brandy. The result is a highly diluted remedy that is used a few drops at a time, aimed at shifting emotional states rather than treating physical disease. How does Impatiens (Bach) work? Bach Flower Remedies work on the principle that emotional imbalance underlies physical and mental health problems, and that flower essences carry a vibrational or energetic imprint that can gently rebalance the mind. Impatiens is specifically associated with the emotion of impatience — the rushed, tense, easily frustrated feeling of wanting things done now. From a conventional standpoint, the mechanism is not pharmacologically established, and the effect is likely mediated by placebo response, mindful self-care ritual, and expectation — all of which have genuine psychological value. What forms does Impatiens (Bach) come in? Stock drops are taken directly under the tongue (2–4 drops) or diluted in water. Ready-to-use dosage bottles are already diluted and dosed at 4 drops, 4 times daily. Impatiens is also one of the five flowers in the famous Rescue Remedy combination blend. Alcohol-free versions use vegetable glycerin as a preservative and are suitable for children, those avoiding alcohol, and pets. Where it comes from: Dr. Edward Bach, a trained physician and homeopath, developed his 38-remedy system between 1930 and 1936 based on intuitive and observational methods rather than clinical trials. Impatiens was one of the first three remedies he developed and is considered the core remedy for the 'Impatiens type' — quick-thinking, fast-acting people who find it hard to tolerate slowness or mistakes in others. It is also a key ingredient in Rescue Remedy, the most commercially successful Bach product worldwide.

Helps

What does Impatiens (Bach) help with? Impatience and irritability: Impatiens remedy is specifically matched to the feeling of being constantly rushed, frustrated with delays, and irritated when things don't happen fast enough. Users report a subtle softening of that inner urgency, making it easier to slow down and tolerate everyday frustrations. Stress and inner tension: When stress comes from feeling like there's never enough time or that others are always too slow, Impatiens is said to ease that wired, wound-up tension. Clinical trials on Bach remedies generally show effects comparable to placebo, but relaxation and ritual use of the drops appears to support a calming routine. Frustration with others: People who find themselves snapping at colleagues, family, or partners because of perceived slowness or inefficiency are considered classic Impatiens types. The remedy is intended to encourage more patience and empathy in these situations. Feeling rushed or hurried: Impatiens addresses the chronic sense of being perpetually behind schedule or needing everything done immediately. Regular use is said to help users feel more comfortable with the natural pace of life and others around them. Difficulty relaxing: For people whose minds race ahead and who struggle to sit still, Impatiens may support a greater sense of ease. Whether through vibrational mechanism or mindful ritual, many users find the practice of taking drops helps punctuate their day with moments of intentional calm. Short temper and quick frustration: Impatiens is often recommended when someone's irritability is fast-triggered and disproportionate — flaring up quickly then passing. It is aimed at smoothing those sharp edges of reactivity over time. Exam or performance-related stress: Because exam anxiety often comes with the impatient urgency of wanting to get it over with and the tension of feeling time pressure, Impatiens is a common component of student stress blends. It is often combined with other Bach remedies for broader exam-day support.

This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!
