This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Himalayan Pink Salt is a naturally occurring rock salt harvested from the Khewra Salt Mine in the Punjab region of Pakistan — one of the world's oldest and largest salt mines. It gets its distinctive pink-to-rose color from trace amounts of iron oxide and other minerals embedded in the ancient salt deposits, which formed roughly 250 million years ago when a prehistoric sea evaporated. Unlike heavily processed table salt, it undergoes minimal refining and retains a broader spectrum of trace minerals.
Sodium is an essential electrolyte that your body needs to maintain fluid balance, nerve signaling, and muscle contractions — including your heartbeat. The small amounts of potassium, magnesium, and calcium in Himalayan salt work alongside sodium to keep these systems running smoothly. Because it's less processed than table salt, some people find it easier on the digestive system and prefer its milder, more complex flavor. In Ayurvedic medicine, it's classified as a cooling, digestive, and balancing salt with specific therapeutic properties.
Available as coarse or fine cooking salt, bath salts for skin soaking, Sole water (a concentrated brine used as a morning tonic in some wellness traditions), decorative salt lamps, salt blocks for cooking, and less commonly as capsules or tablets for electrolyte supplementation.
Himalayan salt has been traded and used across South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East for centuries. In Ayurveda, it is known as Saindhava Lavana and holds a uniquely respected position — considered the most sattvic (pure and balancing) of all salts, recommended for digestive health, and one of the few salts permitted during religious fasting periods. It was historically transported along the Salt Range trade routes and has been used medicinally and culinarily across the Indian subcontinent for at least a thousand years.
