This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Clove essential oil is extracted from the dried flower buds of Syzygium aromaticum, an evergreen tree native to the Maluku Islands of Indonesia. It is one of the most potent naturally occurring antiseptic and analgesic oils known, with a long history of use across Asian, African, and European healing traditions. The oil's dominant compound, eugenol, is so well established as a dental analgesic that it forms the basis of many conventional dental materials to this day.
Eugenol, the primary active compound, works by blocking pain signals in nerve endings and suppressing the enzymes (like COX-2) that drive inflammation — similar in principle to how some over-the-counter pain relievers work, but delivered locally. It also disrupts the cell membranes of bacteria and fungi, making it a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent. Beta-caryophyllene adds to the anti-inflammatory effect by acting on receptors in the body that help regulate pain and immune responses.
Clove oil is most commonly used as a pure essential oil diluted in a carrier oil (such as coconut or olive oil) for topical application. Pre-diluted dental gels and clove-based mouthwashes are widely available for oral use. Encapsulated clove oil supplements are used for internal benefits like digestive support, though internal use requires care and guidance. Clove bud powder and whole cloves offer a milder, food-safe way to access clove's benefits.
Cloves have been traded as a luxury spice and medicine for over 2,000 years, appearing in Chinese imperial court records, Ayurvedic texts, and ancient Egyptian remedies. Arab traders controlled the clove trade for centuries before Europeans sought it out during the Age of Exploration. Clove oil was a staple of medieval European dentistry and apothecaries. By the 20th century, eugenol extracted from clove oil became an official ingredient in dental cements and analgesic preparations recognized by dental and pharmacological authorities worldwide.
