This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Chiropractic adjustment is a therapeutic technique in which a licensed chiropractor uses their hands or a small instrument to apply a quick, controlled force to a spinal joint or extremity. The goal is to correct restricted movement, improve alignment, and reduce nerve irritation. It is one of the most widely used non-drug approaches to musculoskeletal pain in the world, with an estimated 35 million Americans visiting a chiropractor each year.
When a spinal joint loses its normal range of motion — due to injury, poor posture, or repetitive stress — it can irritate surrounding nerves and muscles, causing pain and dysfunction. A chiropractic adjustment restores movement to that joint, which appears to reduce pain signals sent to the brain, relax tightened muscles, and calm the nervous system's overreactive stress response. The audible 'pop' you may hear is simply gas being released from the joint fluid — it's harmless and not required for the adjustment to work.
The diversified technique is the most widely taught and used — it involves quick, precise thrusts to specific vertebrae. The Gonstead method uses X-ray analysis for a more targeted approach. For people who prefer a gentler option, the Activator method uses a small spring-loaded instrument, while Cox flexion-distraction uses a specialized table to gently decompress the spine — often used for disc herniations. Your chiropractor will typically assess your needs and select or combine techniques accordingly.
Chiropractic care was formally founded in 1895 by Daniel David Palmer in Davenport, Iowa, though manual spinal manipulation has roots in ancient Greek, Chinese, and Indigenous healing traditions going back thousands of years. By the mid-20th century, chiropractic became the third-largest healthcare profession in the United States. Today it is recognized by major health systems worldwide, and guidelines from organizations including the American College of Physicians recommend spinal manipulation as a first-line option for low back pain before medication.
