Ba Zhen Tang is one of the most celebrated formulas in Traditional Chinese Medicine, first recorded in the Ming dynasty text 'Rui Zhu Tang Jing Yan Fang' (circa 1337 CE). It combines the Si Jun Zi Tang (Four Gentlemen Decoction), which strengthens qi and digestion, with the Si Wu Tang (Four Substances Decoction), which nourishes and moves blood.
