Rage at my family for no reason
You snap at the people you love most. A small noise, a slow reply, or a dumb question sets you off. Then it passes, and you feel ashamed.
Many people notice this in the week or two before a period. Hormones shift in that part of the cycle. Some bodies react hard to that shift, and mood swings with it.
The severe form has a name: PMDD, or premenstrual dysphoric disorder. The anger is real, and it is not a flaw in your character. For many, it fades within a day or two after bleeding starts.
When to see someone
See a doctor soon if you think about harming yourself or someone else. Get help right away if you have hit a person, or smashed things in a rage. Book a visit too if the anger runs all month long, or if it is costing you your job, your friends, or your marriage.
Below you will find remedies that people use for PMDD. Each one carries a grade for how much good research stands behind it. A low grade means the proof is thin, so talk with your doctor before you try anything here.
