This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Steam room therapy is a form of passive heat exposure where the body is immersed in a humid, heated environment — typically a tiled or sealed room pumped with steam reaching near-100% humidity. Unlike dry saunas, the moisture-saturated air prevents sweat from evaporating, keeping skin hydrated while still raising core body temperature. This combination of heat and humidity drives a cascade of cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological responses that make it one of the oldest wellness practices in human history.
The moist heat raises your core body temperature, which prompts your heart to pump faster and blood vessels near the skin to widen — mimicking the effects of mild cardiovascular exercise. This increased circulation brings more oxygen and nutrients to muscles and helps flush out metabolic waste. Simultaneously, breathing warm humid air soothes irritated airways and loosens mucus, while the overall warmth triggers the release of endorphins and lowers levels of stress hormones.
Steam therapy can be accessed in dedicated steam rooms at gyms and spas, Turkish hammams, Ayurvedic Swedana cabinets, steam shower units installed at home, or basic portable steam tents. Session lengths typically range from 10 to 20 minutes. Some traditions combine steam with cold plunges (contrast hydrotherapy) to amplify circulatory benefits.
Steam bathing has been central to wellness culture across nearly every major civilization. The Roman Caldarium, Turkish Hammam, Finnish sauna tradition (adapted to wet variants), and Ayurvedic Swedana ('sweat therapy') all used steam as a healing tool. The Hammam has been in continuous use across the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia for over 1,000 years, serving both hygienic and therapeutic roles. Modern sports medicine and physiotherapy have validated many of the benefits these traditions relied on empirically.
