This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Laughter Yoga is a structured wellness practice developed by Dr. Madan Kataria in 1995 that uses intentional, sustained laughter combined with yogic breathing exercises to produce real physiological and psychological benefits. Unlike comedy-based approaches, it does not rely on humor — the body cannot distinguish voluntary laughter from spontaneous laughter, so even 'fake' laughing quickly becomes genuine and produces the same hormonal and nervous system responses. Sessions are typically led by a certified laughter yoga leader in a group setting and involve playful exercises, eye contact, and call-and-response laughter techniques.
Laughter activates the parasympathetic nervous system, shifting the body out of fight-or-flight mode and reducing cortisol and adrenaline levels. It also triggers the release of endorphins — the brain's natural feel-good chemicals — and promotes nitric oxide production in the lining of blood vessels, which helps them relax and lowers blood pressure. The deep diaphragmatic breathing woven into every session increases oxygen exchange, calms the nervous system, and amplifies the relaxation response beyond what laughter alone produces.
Laughter Yoga is practiced in person in laughter clubs, gyms, hospitals, corporate offices, and schools. Online and video-guided sessions have expanded access significantly. A typical session lasts 20–45 minutes and alternates between laughter exercises, breathing breaks, and gentle movement. No equipment is needed.
Dr. Madan Kataria, a physician in Mumbai, launched the first laughter club in a city park with just five participants in March 1995. Drawing on research showing that the body responds physiologically to voluntary laughter the same way it does to real laughter, and combining this with his wife Madhuri's expertise in yoga, he created a structured, teachable practice. Today there are over 5,000 laughter clubs in 100+ countries, with a global network of certified leaders and a growing body of clinical research.
