Helps

What does Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) help with? Anxiety and stress: CBD from hemp interacts with serotonin receptors and the body's natural calming system, helping to take the edge off anxiety without sedation or dependence risk. Multiple human trials have shown meaningful reductions in anxiety scores — including social anxiety — with regular CBD use. Joint pain and inflammation: Hemp's omega fatty acids and CBD both help dial down the body's inflammatory response. People with arthritis and chronic joint pain often report less stiffness and discomfort, and topical hemp CBD creams can provide localized relief when applied directly to sore spots. Heart health and high cholesterol: Hemp seed oil has one of the best omega-3 to omega-6 ratios of any plant oil, which helps support healthy blood pressure, reduce inflammation in blood vessels, and improve cholesterol profiles over time. Regular hemp seed consumption is associated with better cardiovascular risk markers. Sleep problems and insomnia: CBD appears to support better sleep quality — particularly in people whose sleep is disrupted by anxiety, pain, or stress — by calming the nervous system and reducing the racing thoughts that keep people awake. Effects on sleep duration and depth tend to improve over 2–4 weeks of consistent use. Skin conditions (eczema, dry skin): Hemp seed oil is rich in GLA and linoleic acid, two fatty acids that are often deficient in people with eczema and dry skin conditions. Taken orally or applied topically, hemp oil helps restore the skin's barrier, reduce redness, and lock in moisture. Muscle soreness and recovery: The combination of complete protein, anti-inflammatory fatty acids, and CBD makes hemp a useful recovery tool for athletes and active people. Hemp protein supports muscle repair while CBD and omega-3s help calm the post-workout inflammatory response. Digestive health and constipation: Hemp seeds are an excellent source of both soluble and insoluble fiber, which feeds beneficial gut bacteria and keeps digestion moving regularly. Just a few tablespoons of hemp hearts daily can noticeably improve stool consistency and regularity. PMS and hormonal discomfort: The GLA in hemp seed oil has been shown to help reduce PMS symptoms including breast tenderness, mood changes, and cramping, likely by influencing prostaglandin balance — the compounds that drive menstrual discomfort. Many women find relief within 1–2 cycles of consistent use. Epilepsy and seizures (CBD): This is the strongest clinical evidence area for hemp-derived CBD. A purified CBD pharmaceutical (Epidiolex) has FDA approval for reducing seizures in rare, severe childhood epilepsy syndromes. Multiple rigorous trials show CBD significantly cuts seizure frequency where other drugs have failed. Plant-based nutrition and protein: Hemp seeds are one of very few plant foods containing all nine essential amino acids in meaningful quantities, making them a genuinely complete protein source for vegetarians and vegans. They also deliver magnesium, zinc, iron, and vitamin E in a single, easy-to-eat food.

This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!
