Helps

What does Eleuthero (Siberian Ginseng) help with? Eleuthero is a shrub that grows in Siberia and northern China. People also call it Siberian ginseng, though it is not true ginseng. Its root has long been used in Chinese and Siberian folk practice for stamina and stress. The evidence we hold is thin. Most of it is small, early, or from the lab bench. Our source notes did not record trial sizes or doses, so each card below says that plainly. Long-lasting tiredness (chronic fatigue syndrome) Early evidence — small clinical studies in people with CFS; sizes and doses not on file. Some clinical research looked at eleuthero in people with chronic fatigue syndrome. It found modest but real gains in fatigue and daily function. Our file does not record how many people took part, or the dose used. Evidence grade C · Traditional tier T1 Feeling worn out in body and mind Early evidence — small human studies and user reports; no trial sizes on file. This is the best known use of the root. In the reports we hold, people felt a steadier lift in energy after a few weeks of daily use. They described it as calm rather than jittery, but no trial size or dose is on file. Evidence grade C · Traditional tier T1 Getting sick often, or run-down immunity Early evidence — small human studies of immune markers; the cell work is lab only. Eleuthero has been studied in people whose immune defence is run down, often by long-term stress. Small human studies pointed to more active immune cells. In lab work, its polysaccharides and eleutherosides switched on key immune cells. Evidence grade C · Traditional tier T1 Stress and burnout Evidence doesn't support this — adaptogen tradition plus early work; no human trial details on file. Eleuthero is a classic adaptogen in folk use. Early work suggests it may soften the body's stress hormone response, but we hold no human trial details. People often try it during hard work spells, training blocks, or recovery from illness. Evidence grade D · Traditional tier T1 Stamina, endurance and recovery after hard exercise Evidence doesn't support this — small human studies in athletes and non-athletes; results modest, sizes not on file. Soviet-era athletes used eleuthero widely. Small studies in trained and untrained people looked at endurance, sense of effort, and recovery, with modest results. Lab work suggests it may help muscles use oxygen and clear waste, but our file lists no sizes or doses. Evidence grade D · Traditional tier T1 Brain fog and trouble keeping focus Evidence doesn't support this — user reports only; no trial size or dose on file. People on file describe sharper focus and no crash like the one coffee can bring. These are reports, not measured trial results. Any gain seems tied to stress and tiredness, not to a brain disease. Evidence grade D · Traditional tier T1 Catching fewer colds, or getting over them faster Not yet tested in people — no human trial on file; lab work on immune cells only. Some people take it daily in the hope of fewer colds. Our file holds no human trial that counted colds or how long they lasted. The idea rests on lab work in which its compounds switched on immune cells. Evidence grade insufficient · Traditional tier T1 Poor sleep driven by stress Not yet tested in people — no human sleep trial on file; reasoning drawn from stress-response work. No human sleep trial is on file. The thinking is indirect: ease the stress response, and sleep may settle. It can feel stimulating, so people take it in the morning or early afternoon. Evidence grade insufficient · Traditional tier T1 What Eleuthero (Siberian Ginseng) has not been shown to do It has not been shown to cure chronic fatigue syndrome; the studies on file report modest help at best. It has not been shown to help memory loss or thinking problems caused by a brain disease. It has not been shown to work as a bedtime sleep aid, and taken late it may feel stimulating. No human trial on file shows that it cuts how often you catch cold

This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!
