This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Dead Sea Salt Minerals come from the Dead Sea, a saltwater lake bordering Jordan and Israel that sits roughly 430 meters below sea level — the lowest point on Earth. Unlike regular ocean salt, Dead Sea salt contains only about 30% sodium chloride; the rest is a rich mix of magnesium, potassium, calcium, bromide, and other trace minerals not found in this concentration anywhere else. This unusual mineral profile is what makes Dead Sea salts therapeutically distinct from ordinary sea salt or Epsom salt.
When you soak in or apply Dead Sea minerals, your skin absorbs key minerals — particularly magnesium — that help calm inflammation, support the skin's natural barrier function, and ease muscle tension. Magnesium plays a direct role in reducing inflammatory signals in the skin, while bromide has a natural calming effect on irritated nerve endings. Potassium helps regulate moisture retention in skin cells, making it especially helpful for dry and flaky skin conditions.
Bath soaks are the most clinically studied format, with research using 5–10% Dead Sea salt concentrations in warm water. Topical creams and lotions are convenient for daily maintenance between soaks. Mud masks combine the minerals with mineral-rich black clay for additional drawing and exfoliating effects. Scrubs are useful for psoriasis plaques and rough skin. Mineral sprays offer a quick, travel-friendly option for sensitive or reactive skin.
The Dead Sea has been a destination for healing since antiquity — records suggest Cleopatra had its minerals imported for cosmetic use, and Herod the Great is said to have visited for therapeutic purposes. Roman-era writings describe the healing properties of the waters. Modern clinical interest accelerated in the 1980s and 1990s when Israeli and European dermatologists began running controlled trials on psoriasis and eczema patients treated at the Dead Sea, establishing a formal evidence base for what cultures had practiced for thousands of years.
What it is typically used for, usual dose, cautions, and the study behind it where real trial data exists.
