Helps

What does Celtic Sea Salt help with? Celtic Sea Salt is a coarse, damp, grey sea salt. It is raked by hand from tidal ponds on the French coast. Unlike white table salt, it keeps small traces of other sea minerals. The library holds no human trial of Celtic Sea Salt for any use. What we have is basic salt science plus long kitchen use. So the overall grade is D, and each single use below is graded insufficient. Staying hydrated, or feeling like water runs straight through you Not yet tested in people — general nutrition science on sodium; no trial of this salt on file. Sodium is well established to control how much water the body holds. That is basic nutrition science, not a study of this salt. No trial on file has tested Celtic Sea Salt in water for hydration. Evidence grade insufficient · Traditional tier T0 Muscle cramps Not yet tested in people — known role of electrolytes in muscle; no human study of this salt. Sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium are known to help muscles tighten and let go. Celtic Sea Salt holds all four. No study on file has tested a pinch of it in water for cramps. Evidence grade insufficient · Traditional tier T0 Digestion, and low stomach acid Not yet tested in people — textbook role of chloride; no human study of this salt. Chloride from salt is well established as a building block of stomach acid. That acid helps break down protein and take in nutrients. No trial on file has tested this salt for digestion. Evidence grade insufficient · Traditional tier T0 Recovering after hard exercise Not yet tested in people — sweat loss science only; no trial of this salt in athletes. Athletes are known to lose sodium and other minerals in sweat. The library holds no trial comparing this salt with plain water after exercise. The claim of faster recovery rests on the idea, not on a study. Evidence grade insufficient · Traditional tier T0 Low blood pressure, or feeling dizzy when you stand up Not yet tested in people — known link between salt intake and blood pressure; no trial of this salt. Salt intake is known to affect blood pressure. No trial on file has looked at Celtic Sea Salt in people with low blood pressure. The idea that its minerals soften the effect on the heart is untested here. Evidence grade insufficient · Traditional tier T0 Low energy and fatigue Not yet tested in people — known effects of very low sodium; no human study of this salt. Very low sodium is known to leave people weak and drained. That is general physiology, not a test of this product. No trial on file has tested this salt for energy or clear thinking. Evidence grade insufficient · Traditional tier T0 Getting more trace minerals in a processed-food diet Not yet tested in people — mineral content data only; no human study of this salt. Celtic Sea Salt keeps small amounts of magnesium, zinc and manganese. Refining strips these out of white salt. No study on file shows that this small daily amount changes mineral levels in people. Evidence grade insufficient · Traditional tier T0 Adrenal fatigue and long-term stress Not yet tested in people — practitioner custom only; no human study. The adrenal glands do control salt retention through a hormone called aldosterone. Some practitioners suggest a little extra mineral salt during stressful spells. That is custom in practice; no human study on file backs it. Evidence grade insufficient · Traditional tier T0 What Celtic Sea Salt has not been shown to do No study on file shows that Celtic Sea Salt works better than plain table salt for any complaint. No trial on file shows its trace minerals make up for a poor diet. Nothing on file shows it corrects low stomach acid. No human study on file supports its use for adrenal fatigue. Nothing on file shows that its extra minerals make the sodium easier on the heart. How to read this: Each use above carries its own grade. A means steady results across randomised human trials. B means one good human trial. C means small or mixed human studies. D mea

This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!
