This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Yogaraj Guggul is one of Ayurveda's most time-honored compound formulas, documented in classical texts like the Ashtanga Hridayam and Sharangadhara Samhita for over a thousand years. It combines purified guggul resin — the sticky exudate of the Commiphora mukul tree — with a carefully chosen blend of carminative spices, digestive herbs, and nervine tonics. The result is a formula designed to work on multiple body systems simultaneously: reducing inflammation, improving circulation, clearing toxins (ama), and nourishing joint tissue.
Guggulsterones, the key actives in the guggul resin base, help dial down inflammatory signaling pathways in the body, similar to how some anti-inflammatory compounds work. The supporting herbs — ginger, pippali, chitraka — boost circulation and digestion so nutrients reach inflamed tissues more efficiently, while Triphala gently clears accumulated metabolic waste that Ayurveda links to joint degeneration. Together, the formula works to reduce swelling, ease stiffness, and gradually improve joint function from the inside out.
Traditional Yogaraj Guggul comes as small round pills or tablets made from the herbal powder blend bound with guggul resin. Modern manufacturers also offer capsule and powder forms. The traditional pill form is considered most authentic to classical preparation. Quality varies significantly between brands — look for products that list guggul purification (shodhana) in their process, which removes irritating impurities from raw resin.
Yogaraj Guggul appears in Ayurvedic literature dating back roughly 1,000 years, most notably in the Sharangadhara Samhita (13th century CE). It is considered a rasayana (rejuvenative) formula for the musculoskeletal system and has been used continuously in clinical Ayurvedic practice across India for treating what classical texts call 'Vata disorders' — a category that maps closely to modern diagnoses like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, sciatica, and fibromyalgia. It remains one of the most prescribed formulas in contemporary Ayurvedic medicine.
