Helps

What does Trans-resveratrol help with? Heart health and cardiovascular risk: Trans-resveratrol supports the health of blood vessel walls, helps keep arteries flexible, and reduces the oxidation of LDL cholesterol — one of the early steps in plaque formation. It also encourages nitric oxide production, which relaxes vessels and improves blood flow. Blood sugar and insulin sensitivity: Resveratrol helps the body respond better to insulin, making it easier for cells to take up glucose from the bloodstream. Studies in people with type 2 diabetes and prediabetes have shown modest but meaningful improvements in fasting blood sugar and insulin resistance markers. Brain health and cognitive aging: Trans-resveratrol appears to improve blood flow to the brain and protect brain cells from oxidative stress and inflammation. Early human studies suggest it may support memory and mental sharpness in older adults, and researchers are actively studying its potential role in slowing age-related cognitive decline. Chronic inflammation: By dialing down key inflammatory signaling pathways in the body, resveratrol helps reduce the low-grade, chronic inflammation that underlies many modern diseases. This is one of its best-documented actions across multiple tissue types. High blood pressure: Several clinical studies have found that resveratrol supplementation modestly reduces systolic blood pressure, particularly in people who already have elevated readings. The effect appears to be strongest at higher doses and with longer supplementation periods. Cholesterol and triglycerides: Trans-resveratrol has shown the ability to reduce total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels in some trials, while modestly raising HDL ('good') cholesterol. Results vary by dose and baseline lipid levels. Metabolic syndrome: Metabolic syndrome — a cluster of high blood sugar, excess belly fat, elevated blood pressure, and poor cholesterol — has been a primary target in resveratrol research. Human trials show it can improve several of these markers together, particularly when combined with lifestyle changes. Joint pain and arthritis: Resveratrol's anti-inflammatory properties extend to joint tissue, and early trials in people with knee osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis have shown reductions in pain scores and inflammatory markers in the joint fluid. Energy and cellular aging: By activating sirtuins — proteins involved in cellular repair and energy production — trans-resveratrol is thought to support mitochondrial function, the energy-generating machinery inside cells. This is part of the reason it has become popular in longevity-focused nutrition. Exercise recovery: Some research suggests resveratrol can reduce oxidative stress and muscle soreness after exercise. However, timing and dose matter, as very high doses taken immediately around intense training may actually blunt some beneficial adaptations.

This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!
