This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Su He Xiang Wan is one of the most celebrated classical formulas in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), first recorded in the Tang dynasty text 'Waitai Miyao' (752 CE) and later standardized in the Song dynasty 'Taiping Huimin Heji Jufang.' It belongs to the category of 'aromatic substances that open the orifices,' meaning it was traditionally used to revive someone from unconscious states and clear obstructed circulation. The formula typically contains 12–15 aromatic herbs and resins, making it one of the most complex multi-ingredient preparations in the classical canon.
From a TCM perspective, Su He Xiang Wan works by powerfully moving Qi (vital energy) and Blood, dispelling Cold obstruction from the Heart orifice, and restoring clear consciousness. In modern biomedical terms, its aromatic volatile compounds — especially borneol and styrax — appear to cross the blood-brain barrier and exert neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, and circulation-enhancing effects. Several of its individual constituents have demonstrated platelet aggregation inhibition, vasodilation, and protection of heart muscle cells under oxygen-deprived conditions in research settings.
The traditional form is a honey-bound pill taken with warm water or ginger tea. Modern TCM pharmacies and manufacturers produce it as water pills, capsules, and oral liquids for convenience and dosing consistency. The oral liquid and capsule forms are most common in clinical hospital settings in China today.
Originally recorded in 752 CE during the Tang dynasty and refined through the Song dynasty imperial pharmacy system, Su He Xiang Wan has been a frontline formula in Chinese emergency medicine for over 1,200 years. It was historically reserved for life-threatening states: sudden loss of consciousness, stroke, seizure, and severe chest pain. It traveled along Silk Road trade routes and influenced Tibetan, Korean, and Vietnamese herbal traditions. In modern China, it remains listed in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia and is stocked in many hospital emergency departments as a TCM first-aid preparation.
What it is typically used for, usual dose, cautions, and the study behind it where real trial data exists.
