This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Palmarosa essential oil comes from Cymbopogon martinii, a fragrant grass in the same botanical family as lemongrass and citronella, grown widely across India, Nepal, and parts of East Africa. The oil is extracted by steam distillation of the fresh or dried grass and has been used in Ayurvedic skincare and perfumery for centuries. Its distinctive rose-like aroma made it a popular adulterant for genuine rose oil historically, though today it stands on its own as a valued botanical ingredient.
Palmarosa is rich in geraniol, a monoterpene alcohol that disrupts the cell membranes of bacteria and fungi, making it a natural antimicrobial agent. Geraniol also supports skin barrier repair by encouraging healthy cell turnover and moisture retention. Through aromatherapy, inhaled geraniol and linalool interact with the limbic system to produce mild calming and mood-lifting effects.
The pure essential oil must always be diluted in a carrier oil (such as jojoba, sweet almond, or coconut oil) at 1–2% before applying to skin. It can also be added to unscented creams, lotions, and serums. For aromatherapy, 3–5 drops in a diffuser is standard. It is not intended for internal use.
Palmarosa has been used in Indian Ayurvedic medicine for centuries, both as a skin tonic and in perfumery. The grass was historically called 'rosha' in the Indian subcontinent and was traded across Asia and the Middle East. Its oil was widely used in traditional cosmetic formulations and as a adulterant for the more expensive Turkish rose oil in European markets before its own identity became commercially recognized.
What it is typically used for, usual dose, cautions, and the study behind it where real trial data exists.
