This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

An ultrasonic oil diffuser uses electronic vibrations at ultrasonic frequencies to atomize a mixture of water and essential oils into a micro-fine cool mist — no heat involved, which preserves the therapeutic compounds in the oils. Unlike candle or heat-based diffusers, the ultrasonic method keeps the volatile aromatic molecules intact so you're actually inhaling what the oil is meant to deliver. It doubles as a gentle humidifier, making it useful for dry environments as well.
When you breathe in the diffused mist, aromatic molecules travel through your nose and interact with olfactory receptors, sending signals directly to the limbic system — the part of your brain that regulates emotion, memory, and stress responses. Certain compounds like linalool from lavender have been shown to act directly on GABA receptors in the nervous system, producing a calming effect similar in pathway to how anti-anxiety medications work, just much more gently. Other compounds like eucalyptol open airways and reduce inflammation in the respiratory tract when inhaled.
Ultrasonic diffusers come in tabletop units ranging from small bedroom devices (100–200 ml tanks) to larger room diffusers (400–500 ml). Most run 3–8 hours on a full tank. Essential oils are added by the drop — typically 5–15 drops per 100 ml of water depending on the oil and desired intensity. Pre-blended aromatherapy formulas (e.g. 'sleep blend', 'focus blend') are also widely available and remove the guesswork from oil selection.
Aromatherapy as a healing practice dates back thousands of years — ancient Egyptians used aromatic resins in ritual and medicine, Ayurvedic tradition incorporated herbal smoke and oils, and Greek physicians used fragrant plants therapeutically. The term 'aromatherapy' was coined by French chemist René-Maurice Gattefossé in the 1920s after noticing lavender oil healed a burn on his hand. Modern ultrasonic diffusion technology emerged in the 1990s and 2000s, bringing this ancient practice into a clean, flameless, home-friendly format that's now one of the most popular wellness tools globally.
