Tired and weak all the time
You wake up already tired. By mid-morning your arms and legs feel heavy. Rest and a long night in bed do not seem to change much.
Low blood pressure is one thing that can sit behind this. When blood moves with less force, your brain and muscles may get less oxygen. Some people feel washed out, foggy, and weak for most of the day.
Other things cause the same feeling, so do not assume. Poor sleep, low iron, thyroid trouble, and stress are common ones. So are heat, too little fluid or salt, long bed rest, and some prescription drugs.
When to see someone
Call for help right away if you faint, have chest pain, or cannot breathe well. Slurred speech, weakness on one side, a racing heart, or black stools also need fast care. See your doctor if this lasts weeks, or brings fever, weight loss, or heavy periods.
Below are traditional remedies people have linked to low blood pressure. Each one has a grade that shows how much research backs it, not a promise of results. Talk with your doctor first, above all if you take blood pressure or heart pills.
