Tingling down my arm into fingers
Pins and needles run from your shoulder down your arm. The buzz may reach only two or three fingers. Turning your head can set it off.
Nerves that serve your arm start in your neck. A hard jolt to the neck can irritate them. Swollen tissue or a tight muscle can press on a nerve root.
This often starts a day or two after the jolt, such as a car crash. You may also notice a dull ache, a weak grip, or cold hands. The feeling can come and go from one day to the next.
When to see someone
Get seen today if your hand or arm feels weak, or you keep dropping things. Go to an emergency room for numb legs, trouble walking, or loss of bladder or bowel control. Call your doctor if the tingling lasts more than a few days, spreads, or follows a crash.
Below is a list of traditional and home remedies linked to whiplash. Each one carries a grade that shows how much research stands behind it. Read the grade first, and talk with your doctor before you try any of them.
