Queasy and no appetite lately
Food used to sound good. Now the thought of a meal turns your stomach. You pick at your plate and feel a bit sick most of the day.
Many things can dull your appetite and leave you queasy. One of them is a germ called H.
pylori that can live in the stomach lining. Stress, some drugs, a bug you picked up, or acid changes can do it too.
You may feel full after only a few bites. Some people feel worse when the stomach is empty. Others feel worse right after they eat.
When to see someone
See a doctor if you vomit blood or your stools look black and tarry. Go in as well if you are losing weight without trying, have sharp or bad pain, or cannot keep fluids down. Book a visit if the queasy feeling lasts more than two weeks, or if food sticks when you swallow.
Below is a list of home and folk remedies that people use for H. pylori.
Each one carries a grade that shows how much research stands behind it. A grade is not a promise, so talk with your doctor before you try any of them.
