Keep needing to pee tiny amounts
The urge hits hard and feels urgent. You get to the toilet and only a dribble comes out. Ten minutes later, the urge is back.
This can happen when a kidney stone moves down low. The stone travels through the tube that runs to your bladder. Near the end of that trip, it can rub the bladder wall and make it feel full.
Other things cause this too. A urine infection, a swollen prostate, or even stress can do it. You may also feel waves of pain in your back or side.
When to see someone
Call a doctor now if you have a fever, chills, or you are throwing up. Get help fast if you cannot pee at all, or the pain stops you sitting still. See a doctor soon for burning, blood in your pee, or pain that lasts hours.
Below is a list of folk remedies linked to kidney stones. Each one has a grade that shows how much research backs it. A grade is not a promise, so talk to your doctor before you try any of them.
