This app is so cool! I've always wanted there to be a hub for all NATURAL remedies and preventative options but l've always had to do loads of digging to find the info I wanted for different natural products. HealisticMD has all the info I need in one place. It gave me various natural supplemental options for a condition I looked up, including what each remedy does and how much is usually recommended to take. It also gave me exact products I could buy for the problem I had looked up. It makes my process SO MUCH easier when I need to find non-pharmaceutical solutions to my needs.

There is a wealth of information on the app! I recently had bloodwork done and found I was deficient in a handful of vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron, etc.) HealisticMD made it simple for me to find out what foods to eat/ supplements I needed to improve these deficiencies. It gives you so many ideas on prevention, natural health tips, where to buy the vitamins, when to take them, why, etc. I love how easy the app is to use too. I am currently working on getting pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised to find compelling data along with supplement suggestions to aid in the process, some of which my fertility doctor wasn’t even aware of. Highly recommend downloading, after all health is one our greatest gifts!

Sweet orange essential oil is extracted from the outer peel of Citrus sinensis by cold-pressing — a gentle process that preserves its uplifting, fruity aroma and bioactive compounds. It has been used across Mediterranean, Asian, and South American cultures for centuries as a calming and mood-brightening remedy. Today it is one of the most popular and widely researched essential oils in aromatherapy, with a growing body of human clinical trials supporting its use for anxiety and emotional wellbeing.
When inhaled, aroma molecules from sweet orange oil travel through the olfactory system directly to the limbic brain — the area that governs emotion, stress response, and memory. The dominant compound, d-limonene, has been shown to help lower stress hormone activity and promote a sense of calm. Topically, its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties support skin barrier function and may help reduce blemishes.
For aromatherapy, the oil is diffused into air or inhaled directly from the bottle. For skin use, it must always be diluted in a carrier oil (such as jojoba or coconut oil) at 1–2% concentration — typically 6–12 drops per ounce of carrier — to avoid irritation. Ready-made roll-ons and massage blends are popular options for beginners. Avoid applying to skin that will be exposed to sunlight within 12 hours.
Oranges have been cultivated in China for over 4,000 years, spreading through Persia to the Mediterranean by medieval times. Orange peel has featured in Traditional Chinese Medicine as a digestive and mood remedy (Chen Pi), and in European herbal traditions as an uplifting aromatic. The essential oil as we know it became a staple of the modern aromatherapy movement in the 20th century.
What it is typically used for, usual dose, cautions, and the study behind it where real trial data exists.
