Worn out after tiny tasks
You take a shower, and then you need to sit down. You fold one load of wash, and your arms feel like lead. The job was small, but the tired is not.
This kind of tired is common in MS. Nerve signals have to push through damaged coating, so they work harder. Your body burns more fuel for less work.
Other things can pile on top. Heat, broken sleep, low iron, and some medicines all play a part. Stress and low mood can deepen the drain too.
When to see someone
Tell your doctor or MS nurse if new signs come with the tiredness. Watch for blurred or double vision, a numb or weak arm or leg, slurred speech, or a foot that drags. Get help the same day for fever, chest pain, hard breathing, or trouble passing urine.
Below is a list of remedies that people have tried for MS fatigue. Each one carries a grade for how much research backs it. A grade is not a promise, so go over your choices with your doctor first.
